What is a demo font?
What demo fonts allow, why glyphs may be limited and when a full licence is needed.
A demo font is a test version. It may be installed on several computers for evaluation, but it cannot be used in final commercial work, redistributed or modified under the Font Trust Demo terms.
What testing means
A demo lets you inspect the style, try words in applications and decide whether the complete font suits a project. Testing is not permission to publish the finished design or deliver it to a client.
Why characters may be missing
The contributor may intentionally limit the demo to a smaller glyph set or fewer styles. Font Trust displays the exact glyph count and character map so the limitation is visible before download.
Moving to final use
Obtain the appropriate full licence before using the design publicly or commercially. Replace the demo file with the authorised release and test the final output because spacing or glyph coverage may differ.
